Course Structure & Content
If you are a health professional who is experienced in delivering aesthetic treatments of botulinum toxin and dermal filler, then the Fast Track is the route for you.
It is important to note that the Fast Track route will result in the same qualification as the full Diploma Programme, but we are giving you credit for the learning, knowledge, and experiences that you have achieved through you years of practice.
It is also important to note that the credit is for the knowledge and learning and not just the experience itself. Therefore, you will need to be able to demonstrate your knowledge and skills to the same level as the full Diploma students, though without having to undertake the formal structure of learning found in the full Diploma.
On enrolment of the Fast Track route, you will be given access to all the online learning materials for the full Diploma. These consist of:
Online video keynotes on each topic within the diploma
Core reading for each lesson.
Suggested further reading lists for each topic.
Rather than the learning being divided into Units which the full diploma students must progress though in a linear manner, you will have open access to all the Units, lessons, and resources.
Assessment of theory
When you feel you are ready, you can undertake the final summative theory assessment in the form of a multiple-choice question examination (MCQ)
These MCQ will cover all the learning outcomes of the full Diploma and will be 1 from 4 choices questions.
This MCQ examination will be taken online but will be timed.
Once you have started the MCQ examination you must complete it within the time given.
You can not pause and return to it.
The time given for the MCQ examination will be 1 hour.
The number of MCQ to be answered in that time is 120 (ie 30sec per question)
The MCQ pass mark is 70%
Fast Track students will also be asked to undertake 1 reflective exercise on a treatment they have carried out.
Assessment of practice
Fast Track students will also need to undertake an assessment of practice. This will comprise of 1 botulinum toxin and 1 dermal filler treatment assessed using the criteria that is used in the full diploma programme.
You will be informed of the criteria before the practice assessment.
Practice assessment will be marked on a pass/refer basis.
As Fast Track students need only undertake 1 botulinum toxin and 1 dermal filler treatments for assessment of practice, consideration will be given to undertaking this assessment at the practitioner’s own workplace. Travelling costs for the tutor undertaking the assessment must be covered.
Alternatively, if there are a number of Fast Track students in one geographical area where travel to Liverpool for each individual student would be costly, consideration will be given to holding the practice assessments at a suitable location in that geographical area, In these cases, Fast Track students must provide their own models, though consumables and product will be supplied by NATA.
