What you will learn

The SATA level 7 aesthetics diploma will provide you with educational theory and professional practice relating to the following areas:

    • The safe and most effective use of botulinum toxin and dermal filler.
    • How to carry out professional patient consultations that meet the highest practice standards for cosmetic treatments.
    • How to be confident in your knowledge and skills in managing complications
    • How to expertly assess and treat skin health problems
    • How to apply in depth knowledge of products used in aesthetic
      practice to expertly plan treatments
    • The latest legal, ethical and practice standards in aesthetic medicine.
    • Psychological drivers for patients considering cosmetic treatments

The level 7 diploma consist of 7 mandatory units, covering in depth knowledge and skills in all aspects of aesthetic practice including: anatomy & physiology, assessment and treatment planning, the aging process, treating with botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, pharmacology, understanding your patient, managing possible complications and effective treatment administration.

The full qualification will be delivered via the following route:

Online training modules
Using a mixture of videos and interactive modules, our online training provides students with indepth knowledge; ranging from understanding your patient, managing complications to the professional and ethical standards required from a Level 7 graduate.

Assignments and literature review
Your coursework will consist of an assignment paper and a 2000-word literature review in clinical aesthetics, using knowledge gained in your interactive online modules and your own research.

Clinical observation days
Your clinical observation day will allow you to observe 10 botox and 10 dermal filler treatments administered by our experienced practitioners. 

Supervised practical days
You will complete supervised practice days, administering 10 botox and 10 dermal filler treatments under the supervision of our expert trainers. When you are ready, you will be assessed on your practice under supervision. 

Examination
You will need to complete short answer questions at the end of Parts 1 and 2 of the course.
