The Level 7 Certificate in Injectables for Aesthetic Medicine is an Ofqual-regulated knowledge and competence based qualification aimed at doctors, dentists, nurses and midwives who hold a current professional registration. It has been created in line with the HEE guidelines relevant to the administration of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers.

The qualification will provide you with the relevant knowledge and practical skills to safely and competently perform the following procedures independently:

- The use of Botulinum Toxin to treat glabellar, frontalis and crow`s feet
- The use of Botulinum Toxin to create a brow lift
- The use of Dermal Fillers to treat nasolabial folds, marionette lines, oral commissures, lip augmentation and basic cheek augmentation

This Certificate is an industry-recognised qualification for both medical professionals considering a career in aesthetic medicine as well as those who are already practicing but are looking to obtain formal recognition for their knowledge and skills.

Structure of the Qualification

In order to achieve the Level 7 qualification you must successfully complete 8 mandatory units. These units cover all key topics of Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Filler treatments such as; pharmacology, understanding your patient, anatomy and ageing, managing possible complications and effective treatment administration.

Delivery of the Qualification

Education for the mandatory units involves a combination of online learning modules via our bespoke Learning Management System, clinical observation sessions, practical hands-on teaching and assessments to provide you with 277 hours of comprehensive learning. The full qualification will be delivered via the following route:

6 x Online training modules
1 x Foundation course
2 x Clinical Observation days
2 x One-to-one training days
1 x Assignment - 34 SAQ`s
1 x OSCE day

Successful completion of each of these elements will result in you being awarded with the Level 7 Certificate in Injectables for Aesthetic Medicine which will evidence a level of competency that can be relied upon by employers and patients alike.

What are your options for completing the qualification?

There are many different approaches to gaining your level 7 qualification. The route to achieving this will depend on your previous training and any aesthetic experience you might have.

If you are an experienced aesthetic practitioner then you may be able to evidence the clinical practice elements of the qualification using treatments you have performed prior to enrolling. This is known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
